To meet large demand for spark plugs in aftermarket and also to meet more strict emission standards for oxygen sensors for motorcycles, Bharat Stage IV (BS6)*, we decided to invest to the Indian facility. Moreover, we aim to optimize our global production efficiency along with this enhancement of production capability in India.

In this investment, we will build an additional production plant in the current plant area, strengthen and double production capability of spark plugs by 2018, and newly start production of oxygen sensors in India.

The cost for this capital investment will be approximately 1.7 billion yen, and we will consider further investment along with the demand expansion.
