Continued Selection as Global ESG Index "FTSE4Good Index Series"
and ESG Indices Adopted by GPIF
NGK SPARK PLUG Co., Ltd. (President: Takeshi Kawai, Headquarters: Higashi-ku, Nagoya) has been selected as a constituent of the "FTSE4Good Index Series *1" for 20 consecutive years, which is a representative ESG index in the world.
At the same time, we were selected for constituents in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index*2, the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index*3, the MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index*4, and the MSCI Japan Empowering Woman Index (WIN)*5, all of which are ESG indices adopted by GPIF, the world's largest public pension fund management and investment organization. We have been selected for all five ESG indexes*6 for domestic stocks adopted by GPIF.
In the “2030 Long-Term Management Plan NITTOKU BX”, we have set eight priority issues (materiality) for ESG. By promoting these efforts, we will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and actively disclose ESG information.
